Conjunction ”そして（sohite）”
Conjunction: words such as 'and', 'but' or 'while' that connects words, phrases, and clauses in a sentence.
”そして” is a conjunction, which is used for adding more information in parallel to the same subject or topic, like “and” in English.
e.g.
かもがわは おおきいです。そして きれいです。
Kamogawa wa ookii desu. Soshite kirei desu.
Riv. Kamo is big. （And） It’s beautiful.
e.g.
ふじさんは きれいです。そして ゆうめいです。
Fujisan wa kirei desu. Soshite yumei desu.
Mt.Fuji is beautiful. （And） It’s famous.
e.g.
この かばんは ふるいです。そして きれいじゃありません。
Kono kaban wa furui desu. Soshite kirei ja arimasen.
This bag is old .（And） It isn’t beautiful.
It can't be used when expressing different or opposite descriptions on one topic.
e.g.
×この かばんは あたらしいです 。そして きれいじゃ ありません。
Kono kaban wa atarashii desu. Soshite Soshite kirei ja arimasen.
This bag is new. （And）It isn't beautiful.
※You should use “が（ga)” instead.
