NからNまで -Particle"から", "まで"-
①「から」
"から（kara)" indicates the time or place the event starts.
e.g. としょかんは 9じからです。
Toshokan wa 9ji kara desu.
The library is open from 9
o’clock.
e.g. 10じから べんきょうします。
10ji
kara benkyō shimasu.
I study from 10 o’clock.
e.g. このバスは おおさかから しゅっぱつします。
Kono basu wa Osaka kara shuppatsu shimasu.
This bus departs from Osaka.
②「まで」
”まで（made)" indicates the time or place the event finishes.
e.g. としょかんは 5じまでです。
Toshokan wa 5ji made desu.
The library is open till 5
o’clock.
e.g. 2じまで べんきょうします。
2ji made
benkyō shimasu.
I study to 2 o’clock.
e.g. このバスは きょうとまで いきます。
Kono basu wa Kyoto made ikimasu.
This bus goes to Kyoto.
※「から」 and 「まで」 can be used together.
e.g. としょかんは9じから 5じまでです。
Toshokan wa 9ji kara 5ji made desu.
The library is open from 9 to 5 o’clock.
e.g. 10じから2じまで べんきょうします。
10ji kara 2ji made benkyō shimasu.
I study from 10 to 2 o’clock.
e.g. このバスは おおさかから きょうとまで いきます。
Kono basu wa Osaka kara Kyoto made ikimasu.
This bus goes from Osaka to Kyoto.
e.g. おおさかから きょうとまで 1じかんです。
Osaka kara Kyoto made 1jikan desu.
It talks 1hour from Osaka to Kyoto.
Getsuyōbi kara kinyōbi made gakkō ga arimasu.
I go to school from Mondays to Fridays.
