In this lesson, you will learn how to connect sentences using the Verb て-form.


Use

When two or more verbs are connected in the order in which they occur, the Verb て-form is used.



You can say this instead of 「シャワーを浴びます。それから、ご飯を食べます。」


Form

Change the first verb to the て-form.


あびます → あびて

Examples



I will go shopping at a department store and see a movie the day after tomorrow.



I watch TV, eat breakfast, and go to school every morning.



I worked a part-time job, went shopping, and cooked dinner yesterday.



I met a friend and played baseball over the weekend.



I would like to visit Kyoto and see the famous temples.


⚠️ Note: In a single sentence, no more than two verbs should be connected using the て-form.
